National Lift Truck is a family-owned and operated equipment rental company and dealer specializing in forklift and aerial lift rental, service, and sales of new and used equipment. We have the largest fleet of industrial and heavy duty forklifts for rent in the Chicagoland area, as well scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and material handling equipment for rent or sale from a wide selection of top manufacturers.

We provide field service or in-shop service, repairs, and parts for forklifts, aerial lifts, and other industrial equipment. Our other services include specialized hauling, industrial storage, aerial and forklift certification and training, warehouse planning, racking, supplies, and more.

Company History

National Lift Truck was founded in 1956 by US Navy Veteran Perry DuBose Sr. as a forklift service company. By providing exceptional service and continuously adapting to customers’ needs, our services and products expanded over the years to include rentals, sales, parts, training, trucking, and more.

Now managed by the third generation of the DuBose family, the NLT footprint extends to multiple states, with over 2,500 rental units, 225 team members, and more than 50 field service technicians. Our core mission remains the same: to provide the best customer experience.
