Company History
For 50+ years, Star Equipment, Ltd. has been Iowa’s number one source for high-quality construction equipment. We are proud to carry a large selection of new and pre-owned inventory. Star Equipment Ltd. Was founded in 1968 by Max Bowman, his wife Beverly, and a longtime friend, in our original headquarters in Des Moines.
Today we’ve grown to a staff of over 80 men and women working in four Iowa locations, and we’re now in our second generation of family ownership: Bruce, Brad, and Brett Bowman have taken the reins and are continuing the Star tradition of top-quality service and product expertise.
